The Value of Tourism for Tipperary to be explored at upcoming Seminar.

Tourism Product Providers are invited to attend an exciting Seminar taking place in Cahir on Tuesday, May 19 as part of Enterprise Week. The seminar will include presentations by Fáilte Ireland Rethink Tourism, the new Tipperary Tourism Company and Tipperary County Council. Tipperary’s recent designation as part of Ireland’s Ancient East - an exciting new initiative of Fáilte Ireland will be outlined. Ireland’s Ancient East is an umbrella destination brand that offers visitors a compelling, motivating reason to visit the East of the Country.

In addition to Failte Ireland, James Chiltern of Rethink Tourism will present on sustainable Tourism and the positive impact it can make to developing Tourism in the County. Tipperary County Council recognises the important contribution of the sector and is active in many aspects of tourism, such as the organisation and funding of events and the development of public tourism infrastructure. Joe Mac Grath Chief Executive of Tipperary County Council will chair this seminar which is designed to explore opportunities for the County and to promote an understanding of the value of tourism locally.

This event will introduce the new tourism company, promote inter trade networking and collaboration and heighten awareness of the diversity and quality of Tipperary’s visitor offering.
